I am pleased to extend to you the warmest welcome to the College of Arts and Design, this distinguished academic institution that stands as a beacon of excellence and creativity in the fields of visual, musical, theatrical arts, and design and visual communication.
At the outset, I am honored to express my deep pride in our students and graduates, who represent an exemplary model of dedication and excellence. They are the genuine outcome of tireless efforts accumulated over many years, laid down by the founding colleagues and those who followed them among the academic and administrative staff, through their devotion and commitment to developing the College and elevating its academic and artistic standing. These efforts have resulted in the College attaining a distinguished reputation locally, regionally, and internationally.
Over the years, the College of Arts and Design has achieved notable accomplishments that reflect its profound commitment to providing high-quality university education in accordance with the highest international standards. We continuously strive to prepare graduates who possess advanced artistic, research, and creative skills that qualify them to analyze and enrich the artistic landscape in its various forms, both locally and globally.
This success is owed to the dedication of the College’s academic and administrative staff, who possess extensive expertise, an open-minded vision, and a genuine commitment to supporting our students and refining their skills. The College’s ambitious strategic plans also contribute to fostering a contemporary learning environment that enriches students’ experiences and develops their artistic abilities through an approach that blends authenticity and modernity.
In line with our vision to be at the forefront locally and regionally in the fields of arts and design, the College continues to introduce and develop distinctive academic programs at the diploma, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels, in addition to joint programs—particularly in digital arts—in response to the rapid transformations within this vital sector.
The College is also committed to promoting a culture of art and creativity among its students and preparing a generation of independent artists and designers capable of contributing effectively to cultural and social dynamics, and participating in artistic and community activities both locally and internationally. We also place great importance on encouraging scientific research that keeps pace with market developments and meets its needs, while preserving national cultural and artistic heritage.
In conclusion, I extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who has contributed to the progress and success of the College. I ask God Almighty to grant us all success in serving our university and our beloved nation, under the wise Hashemite leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein and His trustworthy Crown Prince.
