Concert Honoring Distinguished Music Students

The music department organized a concert to honor its distinguished students. The concert was held under the patronage of the faculty dean Dr. Mohammad Nassar who handed certificates to honored students. The dean also spoke briefly to the students and expressed his encouragements to their musical participation in the local as well as the Arab levels.

The students honored for achieving top GPAs are:

1.      Razan Rabab'a \ Music Education

2.      Ne'mat Battah \ Instrumental Performance

3.      Dina T'hamouqa \ Composition

4.      Dania Abu Awad \ Singing

The following students were honored as well:

5.      Ayah Tahrawi \ completing grade five in two years.

6.      Yazan Sabbagh \ featured in a concert organized in Shoman foundation.

7.      Yazan Jurf \ Participating in the television talent show "Arabs Got Talent" as member of the group "Tarab 'ala Al-Hatab".

8.      Ra'ad Al-Zaben \ participating by a composition of his in an Arab event, it was performed by the Lebanese East-Arab orchestra.

9.      Wasan D'mour \ performing in the Jordanian National Orchestra, as a member of the 2nd violin group.

10.  Natalie Sanjian and 'Imad Sultan \ participating in programs in the radio station of the University of Jordan.

Mr.  Taymour Ibrahimov was also honored as a distinguish instructor, for this semester, chosen by students in a secret survey operated by the them.

The department head, Dr. Haytham Sukkarieh, insisted that the honoring process is aimed at creating an atmosphere of competence in the department, also to encourage the students to improve their practical, academic and cultural levels. He also insisted on the importance of participating in events outside the university in local and international level as such participation  contribute to the quality of graduates and  reputation of  the department.  He also mentioned that the department has been providing the cultural life in Jordan with high quality professionals. At the end, the department head thanked the faculty members very much as they make great efforts to achieve the department goals and ambitions.
