Dr. Mohammad Nassar is professor of Classical of Arts and Design at Jordan University. I received his bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (Interior Design), master's degree in Mural Painting. Dr. Nassar received his PhD. in Classical Arts and Architectural Decoration from the University of Humboldt, Berlin, Germany in 2006. Dr. Nassar served as the dean of the College of Fine arts and Design at University of Jordan in the period (2014-2015, 2021-2023), and chaired the visual of arts department during the period of (2010-2011). He has also emphasized greatly on research-based work and has published many articles in prominent international journals (Scopus Q1 and ISI web science) including the European and American Journals of Arts, the culture and Heritage. He worked as a professor of art and Design at Umm Al-Qura University. He presents his works through conferences and seminars attended several regional and international scientific conferences. He has received teaching excellence grants and awards few times. He has developed and conducted several effective teaching workshops at different universities. Dr. Nassar Member of editorial boards of several times, such as the Jordanian Journal of the Arts and Member of editorial board of Dirasat Journal: Human and Social Sciences Journal. In addition, he has a head of many scientific communities in School of arts and design; University of Jordan; Head of the committee of evaluates majors of the accreditation of the faculties of art and design in Jordan and Oman/ Higher Education Accreditation Commission. Moreover, membership of many institutions scientific, such as, Historians of Islamic Art Association, University of Michigan – USA; member of Association of Design Teachers in the Middle East; Membership of American Art Therapy Association; member and Reviewer of QS World University Rankings (Architecture and Arts Faculties) and others. His research interest is in Interior Design; Decoration of Architecture; History of Arts; Classical Architecture and Arts; Byzantine Arts and Architecture; Islamic arts and Architecture; Museums; Fashion Design; Traditional Handicrafts and Heritage.
